Ducks, eggs, community sunrise services, and brunch, all add up to Easter in the Lake Arrowhead area. To add to the fun that weekend, Arrowhead Pine Rose Cabins guest will receive one free duck derby ticket per cabin.

DUCK DERBY at Lake Gregory Saturday, April 15th
To kick off Easter weekend, the Crestline-Lake Gregory Chamber of Commerce will hold its 9th annual Duck Derby on Saturday, April 15. All guests stay at Arrowhead Pine Rose Cabins Easter weekend will receive one free Duck Derby Ticket. The festivities will begin at 10 a.m. with a number of vendors set up on the South Shore of Lake Gregory.
The ducks – more than 2,000 of them! – will be released at 1 p.m. The first duck to cross the finish line will reap 1st prize!
First Prize $1,000 Second Prize $500 Third Prize $250 and the “lame duck” – the last to be scooped up out of the lake – nets $100.
You will able to purchase more tickets at our lobby. The odds are really good. A couple of years ago one of our guests actually won a prize!
EASTER EGG HUNTS
Lake Gregory Egg Hunt: Saturday, April 15th starts at 11:30 am sharp!
After visiting the vendors and before cheering on your ducks, watch children from ages 2 to 12 hunt for Easter eggs on the South Shore of Lake Gregory starting at 11:30 a.m. This hunt is sponsored by the Boys & Girls Club of the Mountain Communities (www.mcbgc.org).
Lake Arrowhead Village Egg Hunt: Saturday, April 15th starts at 12:30
In addition to the Easter egg hunt at Lake Gregory, there will be one in Lake Arrowhead Village, near Center Stage, on April 15. The tiny ones, from 0 to 2 years old, will hunt at 12:30; those 3 to 5, at 12:45; 6 to 7, at 1 p.m.; 8 to 10, 1:15.
But perhaps most noteworthy is the Easter Bunny will be visiting with youngsters of all ages in Lake Arrowhead Village and taking photos with them from noon to 4 p.m. For more information, visit www.thelakearrowheadvillage.com.
Most of all, children should bring baskets or bags to the Easter egg hunts to collect all those treasured colorful eggs!
What could be more fun than watching a sunrise rays sparkle over the lake while sitting under a canopy of pines? All the Sunrise Services on the mountain are non-denominational and evolve many different churches. They are gear towards non-churchgoers as well as churchgoers. The dress is super casual.
Lake Arrowhead Sunday, April 16 at 6:15 a.m.
To sit on the beach at the Lake Arrowhead Resort and watch the sun come up is to truly experience the wonder of Easter. This year’s service – on Sunday, April 16 at 6:15 a.m. – will once again be a collaboration among a dozen mountain churches. Preaching this year will be the Rev. Dr. Bill Stanley of the Lake Arrowhead Community Presbyterian Church. Music will be provided by Scott and Alicia Guth, of the church’s praise band. In addition, there will be an Easter drama.
Guests should bring blankets or chairs to sit on at the beach. Dress warm, the dress is super casual some people even come in warm PJ’s. Should the weather be inclement, the service will take place indoors at the Resort.
Lake Gregory Sunday, April 16 at 6:30 a.m.
The churches in Crestline also gather together for a sunrise service on Easter morning. This year’s service will begin at 6:30 a.m. on the North Shore of Lake Gregory.
Guests at this service should also bring blankets or chairs. In case, of rain or snow, the service will move indoors to the Crestline First Baptist Church, located at 533 Springy Path.
Finally, nothing makes Easter more special than gathering together with family members and enjoying a delicious brunch. All of our cabins have fully equipped kitchens and b-b-q’s but here are some good options if you decide not to cook.

Easter brunch at The Tudor House will feature a holiday theme this year.
