An Authentic Frontier Cabin
Built in the 1920’s as a home for the Mountain’s first full time forest ranger, this wonderful old mountain house pays tribute to Smokey the Bear with vintage posters, statues and an entry table with a carved bear base. The peak-roofed entry leads to a spacious living room with large stone fireplace, open to a country style dining and kitchen area. Upstairs are three bedrooms with dormer ceilings. The largest has a double bed; three twins and a trundle bed… the other two each have doubles. A panoramic mural that encircles the staircase and landing transports you to the alpine wilderness, depicting wildlife (including bears, of course) at play. (Sleeps 3-8)
