Just 3.5 miles from Arrowhead Pine Rose Cabins, you'll find Lake Gregory Water Park, one of Southern California's best-kept secrets. The park features large water slides and an inflatable water park, along with a variety of boat rentals. Options range from leisurely Duffy boat cruises to kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, pedal boats, and rowboats—there's something for everyone. You can even launch your own boat. For fishing enthusiasts, the lake is stocked with fish throughout the summer. We also recommend taking a morning hike around the lake; the trail is only 3.5 miles long. Strawberry Lookout

Walk to Strawberry Lookout

Strawberry Lookout Tower is a fun destination visit when you stay with us. You can walk there from Pine Rose, though it is uphill and about a mile away, or you can drive. This active fire watch tower, manned by volunteers, is open from 9 AM to 5 PM in the summer. The tower, with a history dating back to 1934, stands over 30 feet tall and is accessible via a stairway. It offers stunning views of the valley and surrounding mountains. Even when the tower is closed, you can still park nearby and enjoy the phenomenal sunsets.

We highly recommend this short hike to all first-time visitors to our area. Heaps Peak Arboretum offers a wealth of information about the local foliage and wildlife. Located near Rim of the World Highway, the arboretum features a 1.5-mile graded trail that winds through enchanting woods.

As you walk along the trail, you'll encounter informative plant descriptions and markers, providing an educational twist to this leisurely stroll, which is suitable for all ages. For an extra bit of adventure, don't miss the animal-print walk, where you can try to spot the footprints of various local species found in the mountains.

On Saturday, August 24th, the Jazz Salon awaits at the serene Lake Arrowhead Resort, offering an intimate encounter with the Grammy-winning artist John Proulx.
